The search for missing woman Shenett Jacobs is expected to intensify this afternoon as law enforcement officers, military personnel, volunteers and family members return to the Brown’s Bay/Nonsuch Bay area in another determined effort to locate her.

The coordinated operation is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., with search teams regrouping at the same location where Monday’s extensive search concluded before continuing to comb the surrounding terrain.

Participating in today’s operation are the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda’s K-9 and Drone Units, the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Drone Unit, members of Concerned Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, as well as Jacobs’ relatives and friends, all of whom have remained steadfast in their efforts to bring her home.

Jacobs has been missing since Saturday, July 25, when she was last seen in the Brown’s Bay/Nonsuch Bay area. Her disappearance has prompted repeated searches and widespread public appeals as concern continues to grow over her whereabouts.

She is described as being approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, brown in complexion, with black and grey hair. At the time she was last seen, she was reportedly wearing a yellow construction helmet, a grey long-sleeved shirt, dark green trousers and a pair of grey Converse shoes.

Organisers are once again urging residents, landowners and anyone travelling through the Brown’s Bay and Nonsuch Bay communities to remain alert and report anything that could assist investigators.

Anyone with information that could help locate Shenett Jacobs is urged to contact her daughter at 729-2443, Concerned Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda at 764-1451 or 725-2270, or the nearest police station.

The renewed search comes as family members and volunteers continue to hold out hope that new information or fresh evidence could lead searchers to Jacobs and provide long-awaited answers to those anxiously awaiting news of her whereabouts.
