Two young men have been charged in connection with last Thursday’s shooting at the West Bus Station, which left three people nursing gunshot injuries.
Police identified the accused as 19-year-old Kajouni Defreitas of Ottos and 18-year-old Royli Richards of Golden Grove.
The two have been jointly charged with shooting with intent to murder Jahlani Barzey, Josh Thomas and Dejohntea Meade.
Defreitas and Richards are also facing a charge of using a firearm in furtherance of an offence in relation to the same incident.
The charges stem from the August 6 shooting at the West Bus Station, during which the three victims were struck by gunfire and subsequently taken for medical treatment.
Police said two of the injured men remain hospitalised. Their conditions have been reported as stable.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation as police continue their efforts to address firearm-related violence.
Defreitas and Richards are expected to appear before the court on Monday, August 10, to answer to the charges.
Police are continuing to appeal to anyone with information about the West Bus Station shooting, or other firearm-related offences, to come forward and assist investigators.

What about charges have having an illegal firearm and bullets in possession?
And I am certain other charges should be inclusive. Far as I am concerned charges of disturbing thr peace should be inclusive and this goes for everybody that would use the public as a way to settle matters.
I said what I said, no dogs bark when I talk.
Attempted murder, Terrorism, Economic Terrorism. Government needs to stop playing around and get as severe as possible with these people. We don’t expect to see them again for 35 years.
