The new international airport in Barbuda will be officially renamed on November 1 as part of celebrations marking Antigua and Barbuda’s 45th anniversary of political independence.
The facility, which opened nearly two years ago, will be named the Nibbs Burton International Airport in honour of two prominent Barbudans, the late Sir Eric Burton and former Member of Parliament for Barbuda, Arthur Nibbs.
The naming ceremony will recognise the contributions of both men to the development of Barbuda and the wider nation.
Several streets across Barbuda will also be formally named during the independence festivities as part of the commemorative activities.

WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!
Still after two whole years? I even forgot about that
Hope the name means something to the people instead of just being another political clout grab….
