APUA’s US$1.94 million Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition project has reached another important milestone.
The utilities authority told Cabinet that funding has been received and the second milestone completed following approval of the Functional Design and Design Specifications.
The project will now move to the Factory Acceptance Test stage.
The SCADA system will allow APUA to improve the monitoring and management of its utility operations through greater automation and access to operational data.
Cabinet described the system as an important component of APUA’s modernisation programme and its efforts to provide more reliable and efficient services.
