Antigua and Barbuda’s Tiffany Gordon has taken a major step forward in her bodybuilding career after an impressive showing at the 53rd Central American and Caribbean Fitness and Bodybuilding Championships in Guatemala.

The bikini fitness athlete emerged at the top of her division before going up against the other category winners in the overall contest, where her performance earned her the right to an IFBB Elite Pro Card.

The achievement puts Gordon in position to make the move from amateur competition to the professional ranks, although she will now have to decide whether to accept the offer and officially turn professional.

Gordon travelled to Guatemala as part of Antigua and Barbuda’s five-member team for the regional championships, which ran from August 27 to 31 and brought together some of the Caribbean and Central America’s top fitness and bodybuilding athletes.

Also representing the country were Franklin Carbon, Jonte’ Barnes, Che-Vaughn Ferris and Andrei Phillip.

Carbon entered the regional competition after a strong showing on home soil earlier in August, when he captured the senior bodybuilding overall title at Antigua and Barbuda’s National Championships.

For Gordon, however, the weekend in Guatemala marked a significant career milestone, with her success on the regional stage opening the door to professional competition should she choose to take up the IFBB Elite Pro Card.
