Justin “Jus Bus” Nation Designs Winning Logo for National Performing Arts Centre
Cabinet approves a design inspired by Antigua and Barbuda’s flag, cultural heritage and performing arts.
Justin “Jus Bus” Nation has been named the winner of the logo competition for Antigua and Barbuda’s National Performing Arts Centre, following Cabinet’s final selection and approval.
The Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission announced the winning design on October 22, confirming that it will become the Centre’s official visual identity.
Drawing on the colours of the national flag, Nation’s design brings together symbols of dance, music, heritage and the people who sustain the country’s culture.
Red represents movement, dance, passion and the dedication behind each performance, while black depicts the Congo drum, reflecting rhythm, heritage and African roots. Yellow symbolises music, creativity and joyful expression, and blue celebrates those who create, preserve and advance the nation’s culture.
Nation said his intention was to create a design rooted in heritage while allowing room for cultural growth.
“I wanted an identity that honours where we come from without limiting where we can go,” he said.
He explained that movement, rhythm, melody and people form part of a shared cultural journey, reflecting the competition’s theme, “Bring Our Culture. Shape Our Identity.”
The Government and the Festivals Commission congratulated Nation and thanked all participants whose submissions reached the final 50. The Commission said the entries demonstrated the depth of artistic talent across Antigua and Barbuda.
The National Performing Arts Centre is envisioned as a home for performances, education, collaboration and cultural preservation. It is expected to support emerging talent, showcase national and regional productions, and contribute to the growth of the country’s creative industries.

Bro, it's just boxes with symbols in it. If they showed other persons designs you wouldn't have said that. They needa show everyone else's logos to show you real creativity.
