Baptist Academy of Antigua has secured two of the country’s top three positions in the 2026 CSEC examinations, with Jhordyn Jacobs Jonas leading the national rankings after earning 21 Grade I passes.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology announced the final placements on Tuesday, following a report from the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) addressing queries the ministry had submitted about this year’s results.

Kayden Lewis of St Joseph’s Academy placed second with 20 Grade I passes and four Grade II passes. Baptist Academy’s Aliane Challenger secured third place with 20 Grade I passes and one Grade II pass.

The announcement confirms the three students as Antigua and Barbuda’s leading performers in this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate examinations.

In congratulating them, the ministry also recognised the parents, guardians, principals, teachers and school communities whose support contributed to their success.

The ministry encouraged students across the country to take inspiration from the achievements of Jacobs Jonas, Lewis and Challenger as they pursue their own academic ambitions.

Congratulations to these children. Now you are free from the bondage of Baptiste Academy who fail to take into consideration that you are young people who should do other things that beat the books
