The Ministry of Works is mourning the death of Sherwin Harding, a member of its staff, who died in Monday evening's fatal collision on Pares Main Road.
In a statement, the Ministry highlighted Harding's service in its Secretariat and the Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU), where he held the position of Deputy Community Liaison Officer.
In that role, he helped coordinate communication between the Ministry and communities affected by major infrastructure projects. His responsibilities included arranging meetings with the Traffic Police, organising joint drive-throughs with other government departments and addressing concerns raised by stakeholders.
He also supported several major highway improvement projects, including the All Saints Road upgrade, helping to coordinate the work taking place behind the scenes.
The Ministry described Harding as a dependable colleague whose contributions helped facilitate the progress of these projects.
The Ministry also extended condolences to the family of three-year-old Janae Browne, who died in the November 2 collision.
Janae's mother, Rashima Moore, and brother, Jahcari Browne, were also involved in the accident and remain in hospital. The Ministry wished them both a full and speedy recovery.
The Ministry extended its condolences to Harding's family, friends and colleagues, saying the entire organisation grieves with them following his passing.
