Tyrell TJ Buckley has died.

“It is with profound sadness that the Department of Culture – Ministry of Creative Industries acknowledges the passing of Mr. Tyrell “TJ” Buckley, a talented and cherished member of the National Youth Theatre.
TJ was a shining example of dedication, passion, and artistic excellence. In his 19 years, he left an indelible mark on the creative landscape, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His talent was evident not only in his exceptional performances but also in the way he uplifted those around him with his kindness, leadership, and unwavering enthusiasm for the arts.
A natural performer, TJ captivated audiences through theatre and music, demonstrating remarkable depth and authenticity in every role he embraced.
His award-winning performances at the 2023 Theatre Festival, where he was recognized for Best Actor and Best Improvisation Piece, are a testament to his extraordinary abilities. However, his true gift extended beyond the stage—he had a unique ability to connect with people, making them feel seen, heard, and valued.
Beyond his artistic achievements, TJ was a beacon of warmth and encouragement.
