A man found dead at the former Bruce Night Club in Hatton around 4:25 a.m. has been identified as 27-year-old Jahkiem Browne of Fort Road.
His father shouted, “So they killed my son!” as he stood over Jahkiem’s body earlier this morning. His mother wept silently while other family members, including his half-sister, cried alongside her.
Jahkiem lived on Fort Road with his family. His mother recounted that while she was getting dressed for work, she sensed her son’s presence and looked out, but didn’t see him. Moments later, she received the dreadful call about his death.
The man who discovered the body, the son of the deceased owner of the property, said he found Jahkiem lying on the ground when he returned home in the early hours of the morning.
“I quickly called 911. I have never seen him around here before, except for one or two times walking on the road,” he explained.
Police are continuing their investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death. A medical doctor pronounced Jahkiem Browne dead at 7:30 a.m., and a postmortem examination is scheduled to determine the cause of death.

I always see him by KFC. They said he has mental issues but I believe it is the herb that has got these young men so messed up. Yet we see big movement to make herb easier to access and smoke

Yeah it is a sad situation to see all these young ppl with mental health issues and I am quite sure there is a correlation between the misuse of drugs and mental illness

Dad? “They killed my son”. “They” who?????” I’m sure that if the deceased had felt half the love now coming from the “father” things might have turned out differently. OUR children are OUR primary responsibility.
Hear me out. I would’ve never believed he had a family or even parents the most. but that’s how it is.
Can you force somebody to do what they don’t want to do? You can give them all in love in the world and they decide to take the streets for it. What are you going to do? Tie them down with rope on top of the roof so they stay home? Come on, speak with sense. Come on, man, everything parents get blamed for is he not an adult?
You wnat to keep it real but you ain’t keeping it real. Would you feel comfortable around a family you’re not happy in? many people live unhappy and some don’t know how to do it. i’m pretty sure if he was loved the way he should’ve been then his news picture would’ve been him probably in a jacket and tie. do you think? no you don’t! consider these type of things. and that’s how you keep it real
Devorn I realized you are a painter but remember not all sized brush are suitable for all painting job.
Are you a parent at all? Are all children turned out to be what they where taught to do and be in the home? There are a lot of people received all the love care affection and attention and proper training in the home and still decide to be who the want to be and there are others who haven’t received such but fight to be and become the best and they realy do become. I know of a well influential high profile upstanding born Antiquan allways dropping off their child to school and as soon as the parent turned their back there was an older person would come to pick the child and brought the child back just b4 the parents would return to pick her up for home. U cannot go in children’s mind and fixed it for them. So when you are painter 🎨 choose the right size brush please.
This guy had a family all a while? so why most of the times he’s on the road at the KFC Fort Road are? why we only cry when reality his? This means his whole family is in this position? or they didn’t care while he was alive? Its crazy to me.
Hey i knew this guy well and his family loved him very much. You all dont know him so dont make assumptions. Adults live how they want and parents cant stop them. I myself used to assist him when he is in his good days but when he is in his bad days its another story. Only the government could help him but the government only wants to know how you died not how you are living. To me the public and the government only becomes interested when you die not while your alive. The parents did all they could for this young man.

To clear up any ambiguity, this young man developed a mental issue years ago. His father tried really hard to get help for him.
We can all agree that you can take a donkey to the pond but u can’t make it drink.
He had a home but rather be on the streets.
If parents are not able to help and the Government has nothing in place to assist with these young men and women in the streets, then these are the kind of news we will continue to wake up too.
