Ivana Trump, ex-wife and long-time business partner of former U.S President, Donald Trump, has died at the age of 73. She died on Thursday at her home in New York City.

Former President Donald Trump made the announcement on Thursday via Truth Social. He described his ex-wife as a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman.

“I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City. Donald Trump said.

“She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!” he added.

Trump and Ivana got married in 1977 and were divorced in 1992 after Trump’s affair with Marla Maples. Despite the messy divorce story, Trump maintained that his ex-wife was a good partner and manager of his businesses.

Donald Trump in his book “Trump: The Art of the Deal,” said Ivana proved him right with his good management skills. 

“When it comes to running a casino, good management skills are as important as specific gaming experience,” Donald Trump wrote. “She proved me right.”

In 2017, Ivana Trump said Donald Trump asked her to become the U.S ambassador to the Czech Republic, but she refused because of the freedom she enjoys.

Ivana Trump was born in Czechoslovakia in 1949. She relocated to Canada in the 1970s before finally relocating to the U.S. She held several positions in The Trump Organization before their marriage ended in 1992. After the controversial divorce, she launched her clothing line and was involved in various businesses.

During her marriage to Donald Trump, she had three children. They are Donald Jr. Ivana “Ivanka,” and Eric.

Reacting to her mother’s death, Ivanka Trump said she was heartbroken. She described her mother as a brilliant and “wickedly funny” lady.

“Heartbroken by the passing of my mother. Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate, and wickedly funny. She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance,” Ivanka said on Twitter.

“I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always,” she added.

Eric Trump also paid tribute to his late mother saying she was a world-class athlete, a caring mother, and a friend,” she added.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump. Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend. Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren. Eric Trump said on Instagram.

Ivana has been given credit for the upbringing of the kids he had with Donald Trump. In her book, Raising Trump, she highlighted how she raised the three kids.

“Every day, people ask me how I raised such great kids. They are truly amazed when I tell them that there was no magic to their upbringing. I was a tough and loving mother who taught them the value of a dollar, not to lie, cheat, or steal, respect for others, and other life lessons,” Ivana Trump said.

Since her demise on Thursday, tributes have been pouring in from different angles acknowledging Ivana’s contributions to society.
