Air Peace, the largest airline in West and Central Africa has announced its plans to resume flights to Kaduna on October 23, 2023 and to offer special flights to Antigua and Barbuda on October 30, 2023.
The announcement was made yesterday by Stanley Olisa, the airline’s spokesperson.
The flights are aimed at business owners, high-level executives, investors, and individuals with high net worth, who are interested in exploring investment opportunities in the two-island nation and tourists.
The airline is partnering with Tour Brokers International to offer a comprehensive package deal that includes ticket prices and hotel accommodation.
The five-day trip will take off from Lagos on October 30, 2023, and return on November 5, 2023.
It is worth noting that Air Peace made history in August 2023, as the first Nigerian airline to fly directly to Antigua and Barbuda.
The airline is a leading force in Nigeria’s aviation industry with a growing network of twenty domestic routes, eight regional, and five international destinations.
It boasts an increasing modern aircraft fleet, including five brand new Embraer 195-E2s and a recent firm order for five brand new E175s.
The airline has been inactive on the Kaduna route since March 2022, due to security concerns, but now it is ready to resume its operations.
Air Peace is expected to acquire a 70% stake in LIAT 2020 Ltd, according to the Prime Minister of Antigua, Gaston Browne, who also confirmed that the carrier will run only on a commercial basis and it will not be a “regional bus.”
Presently, LIAT 2020 Ltd is operating two aircraft and fewer routes, but all this will change when the new arrangements with AIR PEACE are finalized.

Not really sure that we need an airline full of Nigerian investors to take over opportunities in Antigua. What might be useful is if the route between the Caribbean and Africa was used by American tourists who want to visit Africa e.g. there could be tour partnerships where persons visit Africa then stay a few days in the Caribbean on their way back to the North.
Hopefully they can invest in something useful such as an improved water system or affordable housing for people already living here.
