Construction to Begin on Booby Alley Housing Project Within 30 Days

Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne has announced that the contract for the Booby Alley Housing Renewal Programme has been awarded, with construction set to begin within the next 30 days.

Speaking on Pointe FM’s “Browne and Browne Show” on Saturday, the Prime Minister, who is also the Member of Parliament for St John’s City West, where Booby Alley is located, shared that contractors are expected to start work soon.

“I suspect that within 30 days, they will be on the ground and construction should commence. So, we are one step closer now to the realization of the Booby Alley project. And I want to make a point here too. I mean, there are many projects that we have done. We have spent about a half a billion dollars developing a new cargo port, a new cruise port,” Browne shared.

Browne also noted that talks are underway with the Antigua Public Utilities Authority and the Public Works Department to finalize preparatory work before the project gets underway.

This is great! I hope this is a genuine project and not some type of ploy for malicious activities.
