After months of speculation Dr. Philmore Benjamin has officially parted ways with the United Progressive Party (UPP).
Antigua. News was the first to report on the rumors surrounding Benjamin’s potential departure, although he initially refuted those claims.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Dr. Benjamin submitted a formal resignation letter to the UPP’s Secretary, Shawn Nicholas, stating that his resignation would take effect immediately.

This departure comes amid a tumultuous period for the UPP, which has been facing a series of high-profile resignations.
Notable figures such as Sean Bird and Dr. Edmond Mansoor have also stepped away from the party, adding to the growing concerns about the future stability and leadership of the party
What I have come to notice Antigua people cannot get along with their own. You have people within a group that does nothing except make their mouth run. A lot of us has two mouth and half of ear, Why is it it is so hard for BLACK PEOPLE TO GET ALONG . They are always undermining each other. They cannot think out of the box. Plus if it does not include gaining big bucks They have a problem.
Slowly, Antigua is moving to a one party state. Beware!!
