TRAFFIC ADJUSTMENTS AT V.C BIRD INTERNATIONAL AS MAINTENANCE WORK BEGINS ON FIRE HYDRANT SYSTEM

With safety being a critical priority at airport facilities in Antigua and Barbuda, the Airport Authority has initiated necessary maintenance work on a portion of its fire hydrant system at the VC Bird International.

The repair and improvement project will focus on the fire hydrant service line, which runs between the long-term car park and Terminal A building, located in front of the stairway.

The project commenced today, Monday, 18th November, and is scheduled for completion by Thursday, 28th November.

During this period, the Airport Authority kindly requests drivers to be aware
of the well-marked work area and adhere accordingly to the temporary traffic
adjustments.

The authority expects the work to be completed on schedule and thanks the
public for its patience, as it works to ensure the airport continues to operate at
its usually high standards of safety and operational efficiency.

We will continue to keep the public updated on the progress of work and
when the usual traffic flow into the airport has been returned to normal.
