Headline Omari “Boots” released from Prison

The man who allegedly pulled the trigger and shot former Dees Service Station pump attendant Dominican Dorothy Prince Omari “Boots” Phillip has been released from prison after having his sentenced reduced.

Phillip was successful in his appeal to have his murder conviction substituted and his sentence reduced.

He made the application through his attorney, Lawrence Daniels, to the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court of Appeal against his conviction and sentence.

Prince was shot on February 17, 2012 allegedly by Phillip and three other accomplices who had invaded the gas station where she worked.

The other convicts were Timorie Elliotte (a former defence force soldier), Gideon Jackson (a police constable), and Dion “Ticks” Thomas, now deceased.

Philip was released on Friday November 15th. He is also among the top performers from the His Majesty’s Prison who participates in courses offered by the Lifelong Learning Unit at the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus.

    Is what his sentencing was reduced for tell me cause a can’t seem to understand what am reading here at all for him to come do more crime ?

    First of all the victims name is Dorothy Prince she was born in Dominica .Dominican is not her name,why was this boy granted reduce and even released after killing a person why because he took some college credit what is going on in this country. He’s going back on the street to do something worse.
