POLICE SEARCH FOR SUSPECTS INVOLVED IN BREAKING INTO CHURCHES

Police are searching for the suspects involved in breaking into two separate places of worship on Sunday.

Two men described as dark in complexion, stocky and slim build, approximately 5 feet 10 inches in height, and dressed in dark clothing, broke into the St. John’s Pentecostal Church (S.J.P.C) House of Restoration around 3:30 am on Sunday.

The perpetrators reportedly ransacked two of the offices; however, nothing was stolen. During the incident, one man allegedly attempted to shoot a member of the church. No one was injured.

Meanwhile, the police are investigating a break-in and larceny at the Baptist Retreat Center at Pares.

It was reported that sometime between 1pm on Saturday, 23rd November and 7:45 am on Sunday, someone broke into the facility and stole two monitors, a quantity of agricultural produce, a gas cylinder, and other food items from the chapel.

The police are appealing to anyone with information surrounding both incidents to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913.

  1. Religion ain't it

Maybe if churches did more in the community, they wouldn’t get robbed so much

I guess they believe the church has money. Little do they know these churches dont keep the offerings inside the walls…It is either on their person or at the bank. Who would steal from a church?
