Search continues for missing 43-year-old woman

You can now listen to Antigua News articles!

The search continues for missing 43-year-old Donna-Marie Christian, who went missing in early November, despite having no new information.

The police have so far exhausted available resources, including drone technology, multiple searches, and partnerships with NGOs, in their efforts to find the missing woman.

Christian was last seen on Monday, November 4, around 3pm.

Police Public Relations Officer Inspector Frankie Thomas told the local media recently that it is troubling, a serious cause for concern and a burden to their mind.

He also noted that while the police remain in close contact with Christian’s family, their efforts have yet to yield any new information.

He also pointed out that given the time that has passed, their focus has shifted from rescue to recovery, with the hope of bringing “some level of closure” to her loved ones.

Christian’s family members have been unable to say exactly how she was dressed at the time she left home. She is approximately 6 feet, 2 inches in height, slim built, with fair complexion.

Anyone knowing her whereabouts is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-0237.

How do we expect help from the public when we fail to provide accurate information to them. It is only in Antigua that the missing woman would be described as having “a fair complexion”! Are we still so uncomfortable in our skin? Gimme a break!

What burdens my mind is that these missing persons vanish without a trace not even their remains are found ever on this 108square miles piece of rock no rotten odour ever detected anywhere by farmers or animal owners.. absolutely nothing..it makes one wonder..

They haven’t said she had any mental health issues or that she went out with anyone suspicious. What if she was in a bad situation and ran away? Maybe she left the country. Maybe she doesn’t want to be found. With so little information, one can only speculate about these things.

  5. Joke town Antigua.

I don’t even think the cops are looking, they haven’t been able to find any missing people that I’m aware of and this island is so small. The cops are a joke. You wouldn’t be able to get a scent of a decomposing body as this whole island smells like a dead dog anyways. With all the bleaching going on with island people trying to be white I guess the only thing they can say is fair complexion . If you say the person is as black as a burnt pot bottom Faithful National might say your racist towards antiguans.
