The Barbuda Council is actively collaborating with the Antigua and Barbuda Coast Guard, local police forces, and neighboring islands’ authorities to locate the fishermen who have been missing at sea for the past few days.

In an official statement released to the media today, the Council emphasized that the search efforts have ramped up significantly, involving extensive resources and personnel dedicated to scouring the waters and surrounding areas.

They have also urged community members to avoid spreading unverified information regarding the status of the missing fishermen.

Recently, there have been misleading posts circulating on social media platforms, suggesting that the men have been located safe and sound.

The Council firmly declared these reports to be false and reiterated the importance of relying on accurate information during this challenging time for the families and friends of the missing individuals.

This really puts things into perspective. Fishing can be so dangerous, and we often forget about the risks involved. Hoping for a positive outcome.
