The Cabinet convened to discuss a wide array of initiatives aimed at stimulating economic growth and enhancing the participation of young entrepreneurs in burgeoning sectors such as information technology, agriculture, and hospitality.
During the meeting, there was a strong emphasis on the necessity of promoting local investments as a catalyst for robust socioeconomic development and overall growth.
Among the sectors identified, agriculture stood out as a pivotal area where new and varied economic opportunities could be introduced.
In this regard, the Ministry of Agriculture has been assigned the important task of strengthening its food security program.
This will involve fostering closer partnerships with farmers and other relevant stakeholder organizations, as well as integrating more advanced scientific farming techniques to improve productivity and sustainability.
Let’s not just talk about – let’s be about it for we cannot rely on other countries to feed us…we must be able to feed ourselves.
