The High Court has officially dismissed the application for judicial review submitted by former Police Commissioner Wendel Alexander.
He had been contesting the Police Service Commission’s decision to terminate his appointment as Commissioner.
In a significant ruling, the Court further mandated that Alexander, who is also a qualified attorney, bear the costs associated with the proceedings.
Alexander expressed his intention to thoroughly analyze the judge’s ruling and confirmed his plans to file an appeal.
He stated that he is fully prepared to pursue the matter all the way to the country’s highest tribunal, the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, if necessary.
Demonstrating caution, he mentioned that he would refrain from making additional comments for now, as a trial concerning a separate issue related to his suspension is scheduled to commence next February before the same judge.
He was represented by Attorney Wayne Benjamin Marsh
