The Central Board of Health has announced its plan to increase efforts in controlling the spread of disease-causing mosquitoes by conducting fogging in selected communities this week.
The Mosquito Control Programme will focus on Antigua and aims to curb the presence of aedes aegypti mosquitoes. The fogging exercise will begin as early as 4:30 in the morning and conclude at 4:30 in the afternoon.
On Monday, CBH officers conducted fogging in Blue Waters area, Flagstaff, Lower Ottos, Nut Grove, Bathlodge, and Bendals. Today, Tuesday, the officers will be conducting fogging in Hodges Bay, Jabberwock area, Royal Gardens, Sea View Farm, Freeman’s Village, Lightfoot, and Gunthropes.
The fogging schedule will continue on Wednesday with Paynters, Weir’s Estate, Fitches Creek, Pigotts, Longfords, Mount Pleasant, and Cedar Grove.
The CBH has also listed a full schedule of communities to be fogged on Thursday and Friday.
