Low pressure in the Atlantic to become a tropical cyclone

The US National Hurricane Centre (NHC) has reported that a low-pressure system in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic may develop into a tropical depression over the weekend.

This system is situated near the Cabo Verde Islands and environmental conditions are favorable for its development.

However, another elongated trough of low pressure located halfway between the Cabo Verde Islands and the Lesser Antilles may only develop into a tropical cyclone under marginally conducive conditions.

Currently, this system is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. The NHC has also alerted that a new low-pressure area may form from an elongated trough located east-southeast of the Lesser Antilles.

This system may develop slowly over the weekend and move across the Lesser Antilles and into the northeastern Caribbean Sea.

It is important to keep a close eye on these weather conditions as they may develop into tropical depressions.
