A United States citizen has been killed in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

62-year-old Frankie Gooding, a businessman was shot dead in the Bequia community over the weekend.

Police in St Vincent said Gooding was shot multiple times by a man as he was about to board a vehicle with a friend.

Gooding died at the Port Elizabeth hospital where he was taken for medical attention

Police have asked members of the public for assistance in finding Gooding’s killer.

This is the second murder for the year in St Vincent and the Grenadines
