Two successful kidney transplants were conducted at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center (SLBMC) earlier this month and Health Minister Sir Molwyn Joseph has said that there have been more transplants but donors are not coming forward.
Since the SLBMC has now exceeded 10 transplants, the hospital is encouraged to sell the service to OECS countries without the expertise.
Sir Molwyn is urging families and friends whose siblings and loved-ones are presently on dialysis, to step forward as donors.
