There are reports that an investigation has been launched at the Ministry of Education and Youth in Jamaica.

It is alleged that a worker there, fraudulently manipulate the ministry’s sick leave policy.

She reportedly applied for sick leave while working abroad, according to reports. The woman was still being paid by the Jamaican government while working in another country for another company.

Reports are that the Acting Permanent Secretary, Maureen Dwyer, called a meeting for Monday with the Head of the Audit Unit and the Head of the ministry’s HR department.

The Jamaican government informed that an investigation is underway.
