There’s a war in St Lucia among gangs in Vieux Fort that has so far claimed the lives of nine people and injured several others.

The gunfire according to Prime Minister Philip J Pierre follows the killing of a well-known individual there.

The prime minister addressed the nation last night.

Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition Allen Chastanet also condemned the violence.
