Brothers rescued at sea near Montserrat

Two brothers were rescued in Montserrat on Saturday after experiencing difficulties at sea. They were rescued by the Royal Montserrat Police Service’s Marine Unit

The men were fishing off Isles Bay Beach according to lawmen, when their vessel started to drift into the sea

They reportedly attempted to get to safety ashore but the strong winds made it hard for them to manually row themselves back to land.

They were rescued two nautical miles from the beach on Sunday by a team from the Marine Unit led by Captain Huggins.

When their vessel was searched, no radio or engine was found on the boat however they were equipped with life jackets.
