A man identified as Ishmael Hanley was killed yesterday in a boating accident in Nevis.
The 58-year-old man was in the waters of the coastline close to the Four Seasons on Nevis when police say he was struck by a boat.
The ferry captain said while transporting two crewmembers and about seven passengers, he felt like he had struck an object a half-mile ashore
Police said “Upon checking, he saw a man in the water, waving for assistance. The captain took Hanley onto the boat and transported him to Charlestown Pier where he was then transported to the Alexandra Hospital. Regrettably, Hanley succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival.”
