A woman who was reported missing at sea on Sunday has been found dead. Her body was retrieved all the way in St Lucia by officials in Martinique. was reported missing at sea on Saturday, has been retrieved.

The Préfet de la Martinique said the woman’s body was found after a joint search and rescue effort between both islands.

She was one of the nine people who left Martinique Friday on a ship named “Sé kon sa nou yé” destined for St Lucia.

The Regional Operation Center for Surveillance and Rescue Antilles-Guyane said on Saturday that they were notified of the disappearance of the ship

Two people found in distress were rescued shortly before 12 pm in the Saint-Lucia canal

According to reports, “Sé kon sa nou yé” capsized between 7 pm and 10 pm on Friday night.

Six others were located by a Dutch Coast Guard plane on Saturday afternoon hanging on the hull of the ship.
