Popular social media influencer Tavi Badiee was killed in Atlanta Georgia yesterday

The Guyanese national died after she was shot, in what police in the US said appeared to be a targeted incident.

The incident occurred at around 4:40 am while Badiee; whose real name is Teisha Doris was reportedly traveling in a SUV Uber, which was stopped at a traffic light.

According to Fox News, the SUV that the 30-year-old was traveling in was hit over 20 times. The news report indicates that her dead body was found lifeless in the back seat of the SUV

It is unclear whether other people were injured in the vehicle.

Meanwhile, there has been an outpouring of condolences from family and friends in Guyana.

Some of them read: “RIP we still love you”, “You celebrated your birthday a few days ago and now you’re gone. Life is so unpredictable! Sleep in peace baby girl,” and “There is a time and place for everything. All jokes aside, even though you wished me death and made my life hell when I was in ATL, I still would NEVER wish this horrible death on anybody. You did not deserve to die like that”
