Ken Richard, a well-known and respected broadcaster and journalist is currently being laid to rest in his home country Dominica

Richards died at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital last month after ailing for a long time.

Journalists from Dominica and the region flooded the Pointe Michel Catholic Church to pay final respects to Richards who will be remembered for his frank and candid opinion.

Father Herman Sharplis is presiding over the funeral service.

Richards worked at the Government Information Service in Dominica, at the Dominica Broadcasting Station, Radio Antilles, Voice of the Island Radio, Observer in Antigua, WINN FM Radio St Kitts, Dominica News Online, and the BBC Caribbean Service in London.
