Students with concerns regarding their performance in the 2023 Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) Examinations are strongly encouraged to explore the query option.

The CXC has issued a reminder to students in Antigua and Barbuda and the wider region, emphasizing that the deadline for submitting queries and review requests is September 22, 2023.

The body released the preliminary results for this year’s May/June exams late last month.

Students facing issues such as receiving an “Absent” designation despite their presence during an examination, being marked as “Ungraded” (indicating the absence of submitted materials such as an SBA, multiple-choice paper, or supporting documents), or possessing inquiries about their assigned grades are urged to initiate the query process through their respective educational institutions.

script reviews are the only type of query that carries a financial cost. Students must remit a fee of US$30 per subject for this particular service.

Candidates should also note that a script review may yield one of two outcomes: an adjustment to their overall grade, potentially resulting in an increase or decrease, or the maintenance of the existing grade.

In the event of a grade increase, students can anticipate a refund of the review fee. This process is a crucial avenue for students to seek clarity and resolution regarding their examination results.
