Reports from the National Hurricane Center indicate that Antigua and Barbuda is expected to receive 4 to 6 inches of rain, while the rest of the Leeward Islands will receive between 2 to 4 inches of rain.

As of 500 PM, Tropical Storm Philippe was located at latitude 16.4 North and longitude 59.0 West, moving west-northwest at 7 mph (11 km/h).

The forecast predicts a northwest track through Monday, followed by a northward motion on Tuesday. The center of Philippe is expected to pass near or just northeast of the northern Leeward Islands on Monday and Monday night.

Satellite wind data shows that the maximum sustained winds remain near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.

There is little forecasted change in strength during the next 48 hours, but Philippe could intensify more significantly around the middle of the week.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 175 miles (280 km), primarily east of the center. Philippe is expected to produce the following rainfall amounts through Tuesday.

Tropical storm conditions are possible in the watch areas by Monday morning.
