The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services has issued a flash flood watch for both islands starting from 4 p.m. today.
The Met Office has advised that the watch will remain in effect until at least noon tomorrow as the country prepares for severe weather conditions caused by Tropical Storm Philippe, which is moving slowly.
Barbuda has been issued a tropical storm warning, whereas a watch has been issued for mainland Antigua.
This afternoon, the watch for Antigua will be reviewed to determine whether it should also be upgraded to a warning.
