Kyanna Dyer, a 20-year-old representative of Morne Daniel, has been crowned as Ms. Dominica 2024 from a field of six contestants.

Dyer’s previous title as Miss Teen Dominica in 2019 showcased her deep dedication to pageantry and cultural representation.

Her conviction in the transformative influence of the arts to safeguard cultural heritage is reflected in her platform, “Youth in Culture Through the Arts.” This platform highlights the importance of the arts in preserving cultural heritage and promoting cultural diversity among young people in Dominica.

During the pageant event, Dyer collected numerous awards for Ms. Photogenic, Best National Spectacular Wear, Best-Performing Talent, Best in Evening Wear, and Best Response to the Question.

Speaking to reporters after the show, the newly crowned Ms. Dominica expressed her happiness and excitement, stating that her hard work had paid off. She also mentioned that she never felt deterred because her aim was to win the crown.

Jorjanna Albert, a 20-year-old representative of the Roseau Valley and the village of Laudat, was awarded the title of Miss Auto Trade and Fine Food Inc. Nickese Morancie, a 21-year-old representative of the cultural village of Dublanc, also copped awards for Best Swimwear, Best in Swimwear, and Best Evening Wear.

The pageant event was a huge success, with patrons waiting for over an hour for the results of the show.

The winners were selected based on their performance in various categories, including their talent, evening wear, swimwear, national spectacular wear, and response to a question.

The event showcased the beauty, talent, and cultural diversity of Dominica, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
