In its commitment to enhancing healthcare services, the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation, and the Environment has undertaken a significant expansion project.

The Emergency Room (ER) at the medical center is undergoing a triple expansion, which is currently underway.

This expansion initiative is set to significantly improve our capacity to cater to the growing healthcare needs of our community.

The expansion project will not only triple the size of the ER but also prioritize patient privacy, fostering a conducive environment for effective Doctor/Nurse to patient interactions.

The Health Minister, Sir Molwyn Joseph, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that the expansion of the ER at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center is a pivotal step in enhancing healthcare services for our citizens.

The significant increase in size will greatly improve our capacity to cater to the needs of patients in emergency situations.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation and the Environment remains dedicated to ensuring that the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center continues to serve as a beacon of quality healthcare delivery.

The ministry’s commitment to continually improve and expand healthcare services at the medical center remains unwavering, aligning with the evolving needs of the public.
