Transgender social media personality Washington Bramble has two more weeks to prepare to be tried for allegedly making online insults directed at Chief Health Inspector Sharon Martin.

The Hatton resident is accused of posting a video and making derogatory remarks about Martin on Facebook in February 2022.

The incident reportedly stemmed from health inspectors visiting Bramble’s residence in response to a neighbour’s complaint to the Central Board of Health, alleging that Bramble had improperly disposed of waste onto their property.

The following day, Bramble allegedly posted another message aimed at the Chief Health Inspector.

Bramble’s trial is set to commence on March 15, where she will represent herself in the proceedings.
