The Princess Margaret School (PMS) soared to victory at the 2024 Cool and Smooth Inter-School Athletics Championships over the weekend, clinching their third consecutive win.

The celebratory atmosphere was palpable as PMS dominated the competition at YASCO over the three-day event, securing the championship trophy in both the girls’ and boys’ categories.

In the girls’ division, PMS showcased their prowess by clinching victory with a commanding lead of 149 points, earning them a prize of $5000. All Saints Secondary School secured the second spot, winning $2500, while Sir Novelle Richards Academy claimed third place and a prize of $1500.

In the boys’ category, PMS continued their winning streak with a comfortable margin of 137 points. St. Joseph’s Academy secured second place, while the Antigua Grammar School took third place, with both schools earning the same monetary prizes as the girls’ division.

PMS has maintained their dominance in the competition for nearly a decade, with only a few losses during this period.

Their consistent performance and dedication have solidified their position as a powerhouse in school athletics, setting a high standard for other schools to aspire to.
