The Dogs & Cats of Antigua Animal Foundation, a local advocacy group that strives to protect the rights of innocent animals, is organizing a powerful and moving candlelight vigil to protest the rampant animal abuse that is plaguing our beautiful country.
The event has been scheduled for Friday, March 22, and it will take place at 5:30 p.m. right outside the Police Headquarters on the bustling American Road.
This peaceful gathering is expected to attract an impressive number of animal lovers and advocates from all corners of the city, who will come together to express their disgust and frustration over the cruelty that is being meted out to innocent creatures.
The vigil is a poignant and solemn occasion that is meant to honor the memory of the hundreds of thousands of animals that have lost their lives tragically due to abuse, poisoning, starvation, and being run over by vehicles.
It is a tribute to these helpless creatures who suffered in silence and whose lives were cut short due to the inhumane actions of humans.
The aim of the vigil is to call upon the authorities to take a more proactive approach towards enforcing animal welfare laws and to prosecute those who wantonly abuse innocent creatures.
The foundation believes that it is high time to put an end to the bad treatment of animals, and this event serves as a catalyst to pressure the authorities into taking necessary action.
The organizers of this event urge all citizens who care about animal welfare to join in solidarity and vow to work together to put an end to animal abuse.
They believe that this vigil will provide a platform to highlight the importance of compassion and empathy towards animals.
It is an excellent opportunity for everyone to learn how we can make a difference in the lives of these innocent creatures.
The foundation invites everyone to attend this event and show their support for this crucial cause.
It is a chance for us to make our voices heard and to stand together as a community to protect the rights of animals and ensure that they too can lead a peaceful and safe life.
This is a group comprised primarily of expats. How are they not as concerned about the children and young people of this Country? They value the lives of animals over those of OUR PEOPLE!!! I love all animals, but I love my people more. Let’s first put that energy into advocating for troubled youths, the homeless and elderly, then we can focus on the cats and dogs!!!!😡
I can bet is white people heading this, there love animals that much, even more than people.
