27 March 2024 - 15:13

Yesterday, Antigua Cruise Port made history by welcoming a whopping 15,808 passengers into Antigua Cruise Port aboard six magnificent cruise ships.

Enchanted Princess, Costa Serena, Costa Pacifica, Aida Perla, Explorer of the Seas, and Sea Dream II arrived at the port, delivering an astounding number of passengers to the beautiful twin-island nation.

This record-breaking feat was accomplished when the port team was approaching the end of a highly successful homeporting season, with several renowned cruise ships selecting Antigua Cruise Port as their home port of choice.

P & O Cruises Arvia, Emerald Sakara, Royal Clipper, and SeaDream Yacht Club are some remarkable cruise ships that have chosen Antigua Cruise Port as their home port for this season.

And the good news doesn’t end there! The port has already received 299,803 guests for the year and expects to welcome over 400,000 guests by the end of the season in April.

Financial Controller and Officer-In-Charge Cynthia Jacobs Browne was ecstatic about the news and thanked the entire port and cruise community, including the port authority, harbour pilots, stevedores, tenants, taxi drivers, tour operators, tourism partners, and the hardworking Antigua Cruise Port team for making this day flow so seamlessly.

The ACP team celebrated another six-ship day on March 19th and is anticipating a five-ship day on March 26th.

With such an outstanding achievement, Antigua Cruise Port is well on its way to achieving another record-breaking goal of welcoming over 800,000 passengers to Antigua & Barbuda by December 2024.

The ACP team celebrated another six-ship day on March 19th and anticipates a five-ship day on March 26th.
