BENDALS MAN REMANDED TO HMP ON ADDITIONAL DRUG CHARGES

27 March 2024 - 12:42

Damar Stappleton

Damar Stappleton, a resident of Bendals, has once again been remanded to His Majesty’s Prison on separate drug charges.

On March 13, the police arrested and charged the 37-year-old for importing 20 pounds of cannabis into the country.

Additionally, he was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to transfer, and being involved in the supply of cannabis.

These alleged offenses took place at the Deep Water Harbour.

It is worth noting that Stappleton is currently on remand for similar offenses that he allegedly committed on March 7, 2024.

During a joint operation conducted by the police and customs at the main seaport, 41 packages of cannabis weighing a total of 41 pounds were discovered.

Following police investigations into both cases, Stappleton was arrested and now awaits trial, which is scheduled for July 9, 2024.

  1. Is this young man dumb? What was he thinking about importing cannabis through our port? Doesn’t he knows that he would be caught unless he is taking the rap for someone in authorities?

    • That’s exactly what he’s doing. Taking the rap for a woman!
