The Development Control Authority (DCA) has issued a directive to the United Progressive Party to take down all political billboards across the country.
This comes after reports that a person dubbed the ‘billboard bandit’ has been using the UPP’s billboards to bring attention to the ongoing case of Jack Strolls’ money, which he has been fighting to retrieve from the Global of Commerce.
In a letter dated March 25 and addressed to UPP General Secretary Sean Nicholas, the DCA stated that permission was granted to the party on December 15, 2022, for the temporary installation of billboards for the 2023 general elections.
The DCA said, however, that according to the agreement, all political materials were supposed to be removed within 14 days following the elections.
According to DCA notice, the UPP’s political materials continue to be displayed beyond the political timeframe
The DCA further stated that the “oversight not only contravenes the condition of the agreement but also impacts regulatory compliance as stipulated by the Physical Planning Act,”
The DCA then instructed that the UPP remove all its billboards around the island and failure to comply would leave the DCA with no choice but to proceed with demolition
There have been reports a billboard belonging to UPP Senator Jonathan Joseph was demolished by the DCA earlier today

We are not living in a democracy society. We are living in a dictatorship society. Doesn’t anyone realize that Gaston behavior is similar to when he was in a street gang. Gaston is using his Prime Minister position to bullying people around in this country. We are being controlled and enslaved by a black fist not a white fist. A black fist is more destructive especially when it’s being leach out on its own people.
The head of the DCA is either playing politics or going by the dictate of someone. Be a man and do your job fairly across the board. We all live here and know what’s going on.
