Ricarldo Joseph has been named as the country’s latest homicide victim. Joseph came to his untimely death after receiving several chop wounds about the body during an altercation with another young man from Old Road.

Antigua.news was the first to report that Joseph had died at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center on Sunday morning.

According to initial reports, the alleged perpetrator used a cutlass during a heated altercation, inflicting fatal blows to the victim’s neck, arm, and several parts of his body.

The incident also left another youngster nursing a serious wound to his wrist. Eyewitnesses say during the altercation, the young man, believed to be in his teens, attempted to intervene and was subsequently injured on the wrist, almost severing it

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old man has been taken into police custody for the crime. He could be charged this week.
