The Department of Youth Affairs (DYA) is inviting members of the public to participate in a Youth Leadership Training Workshop aimed at providing opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The event is scheduled to take place from 8th April to 15th May, 2024, and will be held at the Multipurpose Cultural & Exhibition Centre every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-7:00 pm.

The training program, themed “Innovative Leadership: Turning Ideas into Reality,” will help participants develop the right mindset and essential skills to enhance their employability and adaptability, ultimately making them better leaders.

According to Dr. Jrucilla Samuel, the Director of Youth Affairs, the workshop will also provide an opportunity for aspiring and existing young leaders to network and appreciate diverse perspectives.

There is always room for improvement, and the Youth Leadership Training Workshop seeks to equip participants with the tools they need to feel fulfilled in all spheres of life.

The program aims to bolster the sustainability of youth groups by strengthening their organizational capacity, enabling them to be more responsive to the needs of their members and the community.

Interested individuals can register for the program either face-to-face or online via the Department’s Facebook page, Antigua & Barbuda Department of Youth Affairs.

For more information, you can contact the Department of Youth Affairs at 464-5016 / 781-3078 or 774-0958 or email [email protected]. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge that will benefit you both personally and professionally.
