Prime Minister Gaston Browne has arrived in Venezuela for today’s 23rd Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the People of our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP).

He is accompanied by Housing and Lands Minister Maria Browne and Senior Foreign Service Officer Kurt Williams

Antigua and Barbuda is one of ten countries in Latin America and the Caribbean that are members of the Bolivarian Alliance.

ALBA was formed in December 2004 by the late Hugo Chavez Frias, the then-Venezuelan president, and the late Fidel Castro Ruz, the Cuban president.

The delegation received a red carpet welcome as senior officials met them.
