Renowned Actress Viola Davis was part of the line-up for the 31st Afreximbank Annual Meeting and AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum!

The event started on Tuesday, and it’s taking place in The Bahamas under the theme “Owning Our Destiny: Economic Prosperity on the Platform of Global Africa.”

What’s even more exciting is that Davis, who is also the managing partner of JVL Media signed a Memorandum of Intent representing a formal agreement between Afreximbank, Fund for Export Development in Africa (FEDA), and JVL.

This collaboration aims to foster the advancement of publishing and Africa’s film development value chain.

They’re even planning to promote African narratives in the global cinema industry through the Creative Africa Nexus Programme!

To top it all off, following the signing, Viola Davis took part in a discussion that not only centered on the African experience, but also delved into her personal life.
