Last night, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 shook several islands in the southern Caribbean.

The epicenter was located east northeast of Venezuela’s coast in the Caribbean Sea.

The UWI Seismic Research Center reported that the earthquake occurred at around 11:58 pm local time, with a depth of 46 km.

According to the Automatic Earthquake Location from UWI SRC, the quake affected areas including Carúpano, Venezuela (97 km, ENE), Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago (97 km, WNW), and San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago (119 km, NW).
