23 June 2024 - 07:31

The Barbuda International Airport is now awaiting inspection by the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has indicated that plans for a formal opening will be initiated once the facility receives approval.

He is optimistic that the approval process will be swift and expects it to be completed within a week.

The airport’s grand opening is anticipated to be a prestigious event, with the participation of numerous high-ranking officials.

Browne has expressed the vision of connecting Barbuda to the global stage, especially considering the significant interest from major resorts aiming to establish a presence on the island.

  1. Any particular reason for carrying this story on the Barbuda airport’s imminent official opening for two straight days? Most Antiguans couldn’t care less as we’ve long become accustomed to a handful of villagers consuming signifant amounts of the nation’s pie – a nation of which they do not wish, or deserve to be a part. They cuss, nyam belly full, belch’, fart, poop, rub their oversized bellies, then cuss some more. Enough already!
