Caribbean Music Awards voting deadline nears: Ricardo Drue’s ‘Tornado’ in the running

The Caribbean Music Awards voting period is drawing to a close, with fans having until June 30 to support their favourite artists.

Among the nominees is the late Antiguan Soca sensation Ricardo Drue, posthumously recognized in the Collaboration of the Year category for the Soca genre.

Drue’s energetic track “Tornado,” featuring Viking Ding Dong, is up for the prestigious award. The category boasts a strong lineup of contenders, including “Juk in the Junction” by College Boy and Yung Bredda, “Come Home” by Skinny Fabulous and Nailah Blackman, and “Like Yuh Self” by Machel Montano and Patrice Roberts. Also nominated are “Brain Freeze” by Skinny Fabulous, Mr. Killa, Lead Pipe, and Just Jay, as well as Asa Banton’s “Do wah yuh want.”
